Drumstick Sambaar
Hi guys today we are gonna see about a
famous south indian dish ,"Sambaar".We all know that basically its good for our health,especially it is used to boost our immune.some of the required materials are;
- Split gram lentil(thoor dhaal)
- Asafoetida
- Turmeric powder
- Tamarind-10 grams
- Sambaar powder
- Drumstick-2
- Tomato-1
- Corriander leaves
- Chilli powder
- Onion-1
- Curry leaves-10 grams
- Boil split gram lentil(2 cups) along with asafoetida and turmeric powder in water for 15 minutes(put it on sim).
- Soak 10 gram of tamarind in water for 15 minutes.
- Take the fine chopped vegetables (tomato,corriander,drumsticks).
- Filter the soaked tamarind.
- Drop all these veggies in filtered tamarind water.
- Add required salt to the tamarind water
- Add 2 spoon of chilli powder and sambaar powder
- Boil the water,contains all these above stuffs for 15 minutes.
- Take the water containing the stuffs(says previous point)and mix it with the the boiled split gram water(says 1st point).
- Boil this mixed water for 5 minutes(sambaar is ready)
For aroma;
- Take a frying pan(kadaai/karahi).
- Pour 3 spoons of gingelly oil.
- Add and fry (mustard seeds,curry leaves ,chopped onion ) with the oil.
- Drop the above fried stuffs with sambaar.
- Thereby highly flavoured and aromatic sambaar is ready.
